The brief was clear, build something that matches the standard of what happens inside the gym. Functional Fitness is not a commercial gym with machines and mirrors. It is a serious training environment built around calisthenics, functional movement and community. Every member who walks through the door does so because they want to be pushed, developed and held to a standard. The website needed to feel exactly the same way.
We built the full site in Webflow across multiple pages, homepage, about, classes, coaches, events, timetable, shop and contact. The design is dark, athletic and high-energy, built around the gym's identity and the rawness of the discipline itself. The homepage hero immediately communicates the gym's ethos with its mantra front and centre: Stay Active. Stay Grinding. Stay Functional. Everything from the typography to the layout is built to attract the right kind of member, someone who is serious about training and give them enough information to commit to showing up.
The class structure was a key part of the build. Functional Fitness runs multiple progression levels from a beginner camp through to intermediate and advanced calisthenics, alongside strength and stability sessions, youth classes and events. We built a clear, structured classes section and a full timetable integration so members can see what is on and book directly. The shop, coach profiles and events pages round out a site that gives the gym everything it needs to operate and grow online, worthy of a gym that has been doing this properly for 16 years.
